The Flying Griffins does not have an appointed safety officer. Why? Because every member of the Flying Griffins is responsible for safety at the field. Be a safe, courteous, and responsible RC owner and operator. Use commonsense and follow all of the club rules and AMA rules. If you witness someone violating established safety rules or just doing something that could cause them, spectators or property to get injured or damaged, please inform the violator and offer recommendations to correct their actions. Everyone is hurt when a careless action causes an accident. Most modelers will react favorably and will comply with Safety Rules if the modeler is given factual information. Flying Griffins Site Rules are as follows: 1. Do not drive in the pit area or on the runway. 2. AMA membership is required. 3. Frequency pins must be used at all times (including 2.4). 4. Turn aircraft to direct air blast toward runway. 5. Aircraft shall be carried to and from the pit area. 6. Absolutely no flying over the pit area or Candler Road.
7. Use of field for club members and their guest only. 8. Effective muffler to be used on all engines above .051. 9. No alcoholic beverages allowed. 10. No profanity allowed. 11. No driving on the hay field for any reason. AMA rules (click on this link for the current AMA rules)
